A transcription and translation of the above:
Jacob son of Adrian Gosselin and of Marie Foucsole was born the first of October 1659 and was baptized by Sir Pinette pastor the sixth of July and presented by Jacob Honore and Barbe Prenor.
Since Jacob was baptized in July 1659, the birth date recorded as the first of October 1659 must be in error, and he was most likely born in 1 Oct 1658.
